We are catalysing change in the youth sector

We are FLAARE a community organisation helping young people and youth workers find their FLAARE, through creating opportunities and experiences across our communities.

Our Story

Our story began on a farm. We wanted to start a movement, giving young people opportunities to create success.

FLAARE was founded by Izzie and Annie (that’s us left and right!)

We're passionate about connecting youth to opportunities that help them discover their talent and passions for the future.

FLAARE began because we saw need to raise ambitions for young people. Izzie’s work on the farm was with students who’d been excluded from school.

Suspension and permanent exclusion affects hundreds of thousands of young people every year.

But did you know?

Being excluded from school has lasting impact on youth. It means you're 5X more likely to be in prison by the age of 24!

So, we began by running youth programmes with excluded young people. Next, we branched out into communities and met youth leaders in Youth Hubs.

Our next chapters now focus in on Youth Hubs and that Youth Worker community who make it all possible!

(so far…)

What? We use our FLAARE platform to redefine training for the incredible youth worker community!

How? By combining practical experience with innovative teaching and experts, we prepare youth workers to meet the complex needs of today's young people.

Why? At the heart of our strategy sits a core belief. To inspire young people, we must invest in the people who have most potential to guide and influence them.

This is our youth worker community.

Young People

Since the summer of 2022, FLAARE has supported over 50 young people, aged 11-25 by connecting them with local businesses, mentors, and skills. We have links to Community and Youth Hubs, Inner City Schools, Colleges, Pupil Referral Units (PRUs), and Universities.

What are we up to right now? We are running an exciting youth programme in North London with our new partners Reskinned.

The young people are creating social campaigns and business plans focusing on sustainability in fashion!
